We are looking for an experienced Diesel Technician who can accurately inspect, maintain and repair diesel engines. You'll use computer software and your own knowledge of engines to diagnose issues and you'll work with our skilled team of technicians to keep our fleet moving America forward!Diesel Technician Job Responsibilities:Make various adjustments, alignments and repairs to correct any vehicle deficienciesConduct inspections, test drives, and diagnostic tests to determine the condition of our fleet vehiclesTest engine safety and combustion control standards to comply with federal and state vehicle requirementsRecord service and repairs to maintain accurate vehicle recordsComplete preventative maintenance, install part upgrades, check tires and suspension.Follow operating instruction, troubleshoot breakdowns, maintain supplies, perform preventative maintenance and call for repairs to keep shop equipment operationalCollaborate with coworkers to get repairs done in a timely mannerStay up-to-date on industry advances by reading publications, talking with peers, continuing education and joining industry-related forums Diesel Technician Job Requirements:MUST HAVE A GOOD DRIVING RECORD, BE OVER 21.Vocational training in Diesel Mechanics or equivalent experience1-3 years of experience in related fieldProven knowledge of engine componentsStrong communication and customer service skillsASE Certification a plusExperience working on Freightliner, Volvo, Mack and International Trucks, Certification preferredTWIC and CDL License a plusAttention to detailAbility to work with a team
