Now, for those job details:
We're expanding our team of Diesel Technicians at our East shop in Hudson, IL! In this role, you will perform repairs and preventative maintenance on fleet equipment (semi-trucks), as well as DOT equipment inspections. You'll need a safety-first mindset, strong organizational skills, and ideally a Diesel Tech degree or 1+ years of experience as a diesel or heavy-duty trailer technician. We need working equipment ready to go at all times, so this role is critical to Nussbaum's success! Your duties include:
- Preventative maintenance on semi-trucks.
- Diagnose and repair fleet equipment.
- Complete repairs following DOT requirements.
- Perform all inspections, including state and federally-mandated safety inspections.
- Perform system repairs, including air & hydraulics, tires, suspension, electrical, etc.
- Follow safe work practices.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
Schedule
Full-time position; hiring for 1st shift.
- Sunday - Wednesday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM: 10-hour shifts.

Compensation, Benefits, & Perks
Pay range: $18 - $40 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
- Trainees start at $16 per hour.
OT Pay (1.5X base Rate)
