Diesel Technician

Location: Ontario, CA

Employment Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $28.00 - $35.00 Per Hour based on experience

Position Summary

Seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Technician to join our service team in Ontario, California. The Diesel Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining diesel-powered equipment, tractors, construction equipment, utility vehicles, and related machinery. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our customers' equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, customer-focused, and experienced in troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, diesel engine, and powertrain systems.

Key Responsibilities

* Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and drivetrain components.

* Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service on tractors, construction equipment, and related machinery.

* Conduct inspections and identify equipment issues accurately and efficiently.

* Utilize diagnostic software, service manuals, and testing equipment to determine root causes of equipment failures.

* Complete warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards.

* Document repair findings, labor hours, parts usage, and service recommendations.

* Perform safety inspections and ensure all work meets company and manufacturer quality standards.

* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

* Communicate effectively with Service Advisors, Parts Department personnel, and customers regarding repair status and recommendations.

* Participate in ongoing technical training to stay current with equipment technology and manufacturer updates.

* Assist with field service calls as required.

Qualifications

Required

* High school diploma or GED.

* 2+ years of experience repairing diesel engines and heavy equipment.

* Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
