FULL DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a hands-on Marine Diesel Technician to join a well-established organization that specializes in high-quality marine generators and engines. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in the field, solving mechanical issues, and interacting directly with customers.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines used in marine applications
- Travel to local marinas to service a variety of vessels (commercial, yachts, fishing boats)
- Communicate directly with customers to explain issues, recommended repairs, and associated costs
- Complete service work orders and document repairs accurately
- Work independently in the field while collaborating with the service team and reporting to the Service Manager
The selected candidate will also possess:
- Experience working on diesel engines (marine preferred, automotive acceptable)
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with customers professionally
- Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
- Willingness to travel as needed (local + occasional extended travel)
Salary Range: $25-50/hour
