Diesel Truck Mechanic

We have several openings available for Experienced Diesel Mechanics in the Linden, NJ area to perform repairs on a fleet of semi -trucks, trailers, and buses. Technicians should have 3 - 5 years of experience performing diesel repairs.

Key Responsibilities:<\/b>
<\/p>

·         <\/span><\/span><\/span>Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on heavy -duty vehicles and trailers.
<\/p>

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and system diagnostics; replace and repair major internal engine components, transmission repairs, and rebuilds.
  <\/li><\/ul>

  ·         <\/span><\/span><\/span>Perform DOT annual inspections on medium/heavy -duty vehicles and trailers
  <\/p>

  ·         <\/span><\/span><\/span>Use computer diagnostic equipment.
  <\/p>

  • Conduct inspections and tests to ensure vehicles and equipment are in proper working condition.
    <\/li>
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
    <\/li><\/ul>

     
    <\/p>

    Qualifications:<\/b>
    <\/p>

    • 3 - 5 years of experience working as a diesel mechanic 
      <\/li>
    • Cummins certification is nice to have, but not a requirement. 
      <\/li>
    • Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, with a strong understanding of diesel engine systems and components.
      <\/li>
    • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
      <\/li>
    • Strong problem -solving skills and attention to detail.
      <\/li>
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
      <\/li>
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
      <\/li><\/ul>

      Compensation:<\/b>
      <\/p>

      $68,000 - $79,000 annually
      <\/p>
