Position: Food Service Technician

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Food Service Technician to support daily food service operations. This role is responsible for food preparation, storage, equipment operation, sanitation, inventory management, and customer service while ensuring compliance with food safety and HACCP standards. The ideal candidate will maintain a clean, safe work environment and provide excellent service to patients, staff, and visitors.
RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED required.
Preferred: Minimum 1 year of food service or storeroom experience.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Prepare food items accurately according to standard production orders and recipes.
Monitor, document, and maintain food temperatures in compliance with HACCP guidelines.
Report any food safety or HACCP compliance issues to leadership or the First Cook.
Perform proper dishwashing and sanitation procedures.
Assemble food orders accurately and efficiently based on requisitions.
Complete inventory counts and ensure proper storage of food and supplies.
Operate, clean, sanitize, and maintain kitchen equipment.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
Follow departmental policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Collaborate with team members and leadership to provide high-quality customer service.
Escalate operational or safety concerns to leadership as needed.
Perform all duties safely and assist with additional responsibilities as assigned.
Experience with commercial kitchen operations.
Understanding of inventory management and food storage procedures.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
