Position Summary

At Nye Health Services, our Dietary Aides play an important role in enhancing the lives of the residents we serve. This position is responsible for assisting with meal service, food preparation, sanitation, and maintaining a welcoming dining experience while ensuring compliance with food safety and infection control standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-service focused, and enjoys working with older adults in a team-oriented environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with meal preparation and tray assembly according to menu and dietary requirements.
  • Serve meals and beverages to residents in dining rooms and resident rooms.
  • Prepare dining areas before meal service and clean dining areas after meals.
  • Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
  • Stock supplies and assist with inventory organization.
  • Ensure residents receive meals accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and team members.


Qualifications

  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to frequently bend, reach, lift, and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to push meal carts and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work in varying kitchen temperatures.
