Dietary Aide

Pay: Starting at $13.00 per hour
About the Role
The Staff Pad has partnered with Unity Medical Center to hire a Dietary Aide. This role supports the Dietary Services team by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring patients and staff receive high-quality food service in a safe and sanitary environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation of hot and cold food items as directed
- Follow menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines
- Deliver and retrieve food carts and patient trays
- Serve meals in the cafeteria as needed
- Stock and organize kitchen and food service supplies
- Monitor food temperatures and ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards
- Clean and maintain kitchen areas, including dish room, equipment, and storage spaces
- Dispose of waste and maintain overall cleanliness of dietary areas
- Work under limited supervision while following written and verbal instructions
- Promote a positive and professional environment with patients, staff, and visitors
- Comply with all organizational policies and safety regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- At least 1 year of food service experience preferred
- Basic math skills and ability to follow recipes
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
