Position SummaryMoraga Post Acute is seeking a reliable and hardworking Dietary Aide to join our team. The Dietary Aide plays an essential role in supporting the dietary department by assisting with meal preparation, service, and maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment to ensure residents receive nutritious and enjoyable meals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and resident needs
- Set up meal trays, deliver food to residents, and assist with feeding when necessary
- Follow portion control and special diet instructions (e.g., low sodium, diabetic diets)
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dining areas, and equipment
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly and properly
- Stock and organize food supplies and assist with inventory as needed
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and staff
- Assist with special events or catering within the facility as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in food service or healthcare dietary setting is a plus
- Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Compassionate and service-oriented attitude toward residents
