Schedule: Full-time 40 hours per week | Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
Department: Thome PACE | Jackson, MI 

What You'll Do:
As a Dietary Aide, you’ll play an important role in creating a positive dining experience for our participants each day. Working closely with the Dietitian and center team, you’ll help prepare and serve breakfast and lunch while ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll assist with meal service, support basic food preparation, and help maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen and dining environment. 
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in keeping things running efficiently, and wants to make a meaningful impact through service each day. 

Key Responsibilities


  • Maintain kitchen safety and sanitation standards, including proper food handling, labeling, and storage. 
  • Assist with meal preparation, portioning, and packaging, including support for specialized diets. 
  • Complete routine cleaning and support inventory management to keep the kitchen organized and stocked. 
  • Prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. 
  • Communicate effectively with team members, participants, and guests to support a positive experience.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise


  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Previous experience in food service or a similar setting, preferred. 
  • Must be CPR certified or willing to obtain. 
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with frail and elderly individuals. 
  • Must have reliable transportation and possess a valid and current driver's license. 
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
