    $2,500 sign on bonus!
    Dietary Cook II, Cedar Lake Lodge
    Full-time, 9:30am-5:30pm, every other weekend.

    About Cedar Lake
     
    Cedar Lake Lodge is an intermediate care facility that supports 63 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  We are currently seeking a cook to prepare meals and snacks as part of our dietary team.  The ideal candidate understands that this role functions as a valuable member of our Cedar Lake team and has a passion for providing quality service to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. 
     
    Please note that Cedar Lake Lodge, Park Place, and Sycamore Run are Intermediate Care Facilities, placing us under the “CMS Omnibus COVID-19 Health Care Staff Vaccination Interim Rule.” Under this rule, employees must be vaccinated or have an approved medical or religious exemption prior to employment.
     
    Normal Working Conditions  
    • Cooking position is responsible for preparing evening meal per daily menu/recipes, checking for accuracy, attractiveness, proper temps and modifications.
    • Prepares individual servings according to portion control standards, special diet alternates or food modification.
    • Assists the dietary team members with stocking food inventory including dry storage, freezer, refrigerator.
    • Responsible for light and general cleaning kitchen area and securing area for the night. Also responsible for scheduled cleaning of kitchen equipment.
    • Works as part of dietary team performing other duties as assigned.  Willing to be trained for other cooking responsibilities.

    Minimum Requirements
    • High School diploma or GED, or any combination of education, experience and skills which would demonstrate ability to perform job responsibilities.
    • Experience in preparation of meals on a regular basis is preferred but interest in learning food service may substitute.
    • Must have reliable transportation to arrive at work on time.
