Responsibilities: This position prepares, cooks and serves food to the hospital patients and staff. Responsible for cleaning the dining room, serving line, and kitchen before leaving at the end of their shift.
Qualifications: Education: high school diploma or GED. This individual must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Diplomacy and discretion are essential, as well as excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects. Physical requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to push and pull carts, brooms and mops. Professional demeanor and appearance required. Serve Safe certification is desired. Previous experience in a hospital setting or mental health or substance abuse treatment facility preferred but not required.
