The Dietary Services Coordinator is responsible for food ordering, meal preparation, kitchen operations, and maintaining compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. This role helps ensure high-quality food service while supporting the health, well-being, and dietary needs of the individuals served by Hope Network.
What You’ll Do
- Order food and maintain inventory levels
- Prepare and serve meals according to menus, dietary needs, and food safety standards
- Coordinate food service for special events, holidays, and resident activities
- Maintain kitchen, dining, storage, and food preparation areas in a clean and sanitary manner
- Monitor food storage, temperatures, and inventory to ensure compliance and quality
- Accommodate special diets, dietary restrictions, and therapeutic meal plans
- Participate in inspections, staff meetings, and required trainings
- Maintain accurate records, inventories, and food service documentation
- Collaborate with staff and departments to support the needs of individuals served

What You Bring
Preferred:
- 1-2 years of dietary, food service, healthcare, or senior living experience
- Safe Serve Certification
- Experience in hospitals, nursing facilities, residential care, or congregate meal settings
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to prepare a variety of foods in large quantities
- Ability to taste and smell food to assess quality and safety
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., including weekends and holidays as needed
