Overview
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Dietary Manager, where you will lead and oversee the dietary services within an assisted living or healthcare facility. This vital role involves managing nutrition programs, supervising dietary staff, and ensuring residents receive personalized, high-quality nutritional care. Duties
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans focused on residents’ nutritional needs and health goals
Supervise dietary department staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to ensure excellent service delivery
Conduct patient assessments to determine dietary requirements, including special needs such as tube feeding or diagnostic evaluation considerations
Oversee meal planning and preparation to meet nutritional standards while accommodating dietary restrictions and preferences
Manage dietary department budgets, inventory control, and procurement processes to ensure cost-effective operations
Ensure compliance with health regulations, safety standards, and facility policies related to food service and resident care
Collaborate with healthcare teams to integrate nutrition strategies into overall care plans and support residents’ health coaching initiatives
Experience
Proven management experience within a dietary or food service department in assisted living or healthcare settings
Strong knowledge of physiology, nutrition science, dietetics principles, and care plan development
Experience in supervising staff, managing budgets, and coordinating dietary services efficiently
Familiarity with patient assessment techniques, tube feeding procedures, and diagnostic evaluation processes
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment
Knowledge of regulations governing dietary services in healthcare or assisted living facilities
Prior experience with care planning, health coaching, and implementing specialized diets is highly desirable
