Primary Duties and Responsibilities

As a Diet Assistant, youâ€ll play an important role in supporting safe, accurate, and efficient meal service for our patients. Working under the direction of Principal Food Service Supervisors, youâ€ll serve as a key connection point between patients, the Call Center, and our food production and assembly teams.

In this role, youâ€ll obtain and enter patient meal orders, ensure selections meet prescribed diet requirements, and help coordinate meal information with the Production and Assembly areas. Youâ€ll work in a fast-paced call center environment where accuracy, communication, and attention to detail are essential to delivering a positive patient experience.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• Basic knowledge of mathematics, measurements, and portion sizes

• Knowledge of therapeutic diets and dietary requirements

• Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment

• Ability to answer telephone calls with a pleasant and professional demeanor

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to communicate information clearly, effectively, and concisely

• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn and use computer systems

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
