Responsibilities
This position is responsible for screening all new admits, assessing patients at-risk for malnutrition, and providing ongoing monitoring and follow-up of all low- and at-risk patients.
The dietetic technician, registered (DTR) participates in quality improvement initiatives at the direction of Clinical Nutrition leadership and the dietitian. Demonstrates knowledge of Medical Nutrition Therapy across the adult life span, including the ability to provide education to patients/caregivers as indicated based on medical history and current clinical status. Requires the ability to assess data reflective of the patients nutritional status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patients age-specific needs. Proficient computer skills necessary for daily tasks.
