The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for the nutrition screening, assessment, monitoring, evaluation, and education of MMCI patients through an integrated approach to nutrition care. We’re seeking a motivated and compassionate Registered Dietitian to support both our Family Practice and Digestive Health clinics. A significant portion of your time will focus on weight management, helping patients create sustainable lifestyle changes to meet their health goals. Provide individualized nutrition counseling to patients in Family Practice and Digestive Health settings. Support and guide patients through weight management, including medical weight loss programs. Collaborate closely with providers to create nutrition plans that align with patient diagnoses and care plans. Educate patients on topics such as healthy eating patterns, digestive health, chronic disease prevention, and behavior modification. Build strong, ongoing relationships with patients to help them make meaningful and lasting change. Alternate between Family Practice and Digestive Health, offering rich clinical exposure. Play a key role in helping patients navigate their weight‑management journey. This position (Registered Dietitians only) qualifies for a $5,000 sign-on bonus!!! Field of Study Bachelor's Degree Dietetics Bachelor's Degree Related Field Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Registered Dietitian (RD) - Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) Work Experience Healthcare Required English Skills Basic writing skills Ability to respond appropriately to customer/co-worker Maintain confidential information Ability to project a professional, friendly, helpful demeanor Computer Skills Intermediate computer knowledge: Ability to troubleshoot minor problems within a Windows OS, operates within a network environment, uses spreadsheet, database, word processing, and internet applications proficiently. Learns new applications without difficulty and is able to aid others in immediate work area with computer questions. PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE NUTRITION CARE OF PATIENTS ACCORDING TO POLICIES & PROCEDURES Responsible for nutritional assessment completions 100% per policy Provides quality medical nutrition therapy as appropriate on patient care units including necessary follows and in accordance with facility policy Performs nutrition focus physical exams as medically appropriate for the diagnosis of malnutrition. Participates in the review of the Patient Satisfaction Data and contributes to the development of the action plan and implementation of the plan ACTIVELY PROVIDES NUTRITION SUPPORT THROUGH ASSESSMENT, DEVELOPMENT OF A NUTRITION CARE PLAN, IMPLEMENTATION OF NUTRITION CARE PLAN, AND MONITORING OF NUTRITION THERAPY Works with other Nutritional Services Team members to provide nutrition therapy in a timely manner. Must participate in a required rotation for weekend and holiday coverage Writes and manages enteral nutrition as necessary with follow ups as needed to gain knowledge in Nutrition Support and medical nutrition therapy as evidenced in personal portfolio Is able to accurately document assessment and MNT in the patient EMR and menu management program. PROVIDES NUTRITION CARE OF PATIENTS ACCORDING TO REGULATORY BODIES SUCH AS JCAHO, IDPH, CARF, ETC. Analyzes performance compared to regulations and offers ways to better, efficiently comply to provide optimum nutrition care PROVIDES NUTRITION EDUCATION TO PATIENTS, FAMILIES, COMMUNITY EVENTS, STAFF GROUPS, MEDIA, DIETETIC STUDENTS AND INTERNS etc. Provides nutrition education to patients, family members, staff, and community groups Participates in the training of the Dietetic Students and Dietetic Interns.
