Registered Dietitian (Part-Time)

Job Type: Part-Time (16–20 hours per week)

Schedule: 2 days per week

The Role

We are seeking a Licensed Dietitian to support one of our clients Adult Residential Center in Springfield. You will manage nutritional care for clients with complex needs, ensuring they receive the therapy and education necessary for long-term recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Consultation: Assess and treat clients with complex nutritional deficiencies; determine the duration of diet therapy.
• Care Planning: Review physician-prescribed diets, calculate special nutritional requirements, and document client responses.
• Collaboration: Consult with physicians and nursing staff to clarify orders and recommend diet treatments.
• Education: Instruct clients and their families on appropriate dietary habits for post-discharge success.
• Program Support: Contribute to master menu development and departmental policies; participate in multidisciplinary client care meetings.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or a related field.
• Licensure: Current Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) in the state of Illinois.
• Skills: Ability to tailor interventions based on client maturation and psychosocial needs; strong analytical skills for data collection and problem-solving.
• Communication: Proficiency in oral communication and document accuracy.
