Registered Dietitian (Per Diem)

Eating Disorder Center of Westchester & Clementine Briarcliff Manor

White Plains & Briarcliff Manor, NY

Our organization, located in White Plains, NY, operates a specialized day treatment program for adults dealing with eating disorders such as Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and Exercise Addiction. Through our partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services, clients engage in both group and individual therapy, benefiting from our comprehensive clinical, medical, psychiatric, and nutritional expertise while facing real-life challenges.

Additionally, Clementine Briarcliff Manor, situated in Briarcliff Manor, NY, offers a residential treatment program tailored for adolescents with similar eating disorders.

We are currently looking for a Per Diem Registered Dietitian to join our teams at the White Plains and Briarcliff Manor, NY facilities. This role is essential within our leadership and clinical teams, requiring regular collaboration across various disciplines to ensure the highest quality of client care.

Our nutrition programming is built on foundational principles that promote health, freedom from disordered eating behaviors, and a developmentally appropriate journey towards self-trust and intuitive eating. This strong foundation allows our clients to progress from repairing their relationship with food to embracing a life of recovery.

Our HAES-informed nutritional care emphasizes:

  • Understanding that healthy, recovered individuals come in diverse shapes and sizes.
  • Belief that every body deserves nourishment and the experience of satiety.
  • A focus on behaviors rather than weight-centric philosophies.
  • Awareness that attempts to lose weight are counterproductive to recovery from all eating disorders.
  • Creating kitchens and food environments that are open and welcoming, resembling a home-like atmosphere.

Compensation: $31.88 - $34.62 per hour

Total Rewards: We are dedicated to fostering a diverse workplace and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All qualified candidates will be considered for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee meal preparation for clients on-site, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Ensure that all nutritional services comply with established standards and regulations.
  • Conduct nutrition assessments for clients and monitor their nutritional intake.
  • Contribute to the treatment team in developing the Master Treatment Plan.
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Nutrition or a related human services field.
  • A minimum of one year of experience (or internship) in healthcare, preferably in a psychiatric setting.
  • Possession of a valid Registered Dietitian credential.
  • Must have (or obtain) CPR/BLS certification prior to starting work.
  • Strong computer proficiency.
  • A genuine passion for helping clients achieve excellence.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
