Description

Citi is seeking an experienced and customer-obsessed Digital Product Manager to own and redefine the customer acquisition journeys for our Personal Installment Loan product. This is a critical, high-impact role focused on creating seamless, intuitive, and effective digital experiences that drive significant business growth.

As a senior individual contributor, you will be responsible for the end-to-end product strategy and execution of the acquisition funnel, from initial awareness to application submission and approval. You will be the central hub of a dynamic, cross-functional team, translating customer needs and business goals into a world-class digital product. This role requires a unique blend of strategic vision, technical acumen, design thinking, and a deep understanding of operating within a complex, regulated financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Vision & Strategy: Define and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the personal loan acquisition experience. Identify new opportunities to reduce friction, improve conversion, and enhance the overall customer journey.

  • Journey Definition & Optimization: Take full ownership of the digital acquisition funnel. Map out current and future-state customer journeys, identify pain points, and develop data-driven hypotheses for continuous optimization and A/B testing.

  • Requirements & User Stories: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into clear, detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for the engineering teams. Maintain a well-organized and prioritized product backlog.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the primary product liaison, working hand-in-hand with partners in Technology, UX/UI Design, Customer Research, Marketing, and Data Analytics to deliver on the product roadmap.

  • Stakeholder Management: Proactively engage with a wide array of stakeholders, including senior leadership, to communicate the product vision, strategy, and progress.

  • Risk & Controls Partnership: Act as a crucial partner to our Controls, Governance, Legal, Compliance, and Oversight teams. Ensure that all digital journeys are designed and implemented in full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk policies from day one.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Define and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for the acquisition funnel. Utilize web analytics, customer feedback, and performance data to make informed product decisions and drive improvements.

  • Market Intelligence: Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, emerging digital trends, and new technologies in the lending and fintech space to ensure Citi's product remains a market leader.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in digital product management, preferably within the financial services, lending, or fintech industries.

  • Acquisition Expertise: A proven track record of managing and optimizing digital customer acquisition funnels for a consumer-facing product.

  • Technical Fluency: Strong experience working directly with engineering and design teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.

  • Regulated Environment: Demonstrable experience launching and managing products within a highly regulated industry. A strong understanding of the associated risk, legal, and compliance frameworks is essential.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Customer Empathy: A deep passion for understanding user needs and a commitment to building intuitive, user-centered products.

  • Leadership through Influence: Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve common goals in a matrixed organization without direct reporting lines.

  • Analytical Mindset: Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and drive decisions.

  • Exceptional Communicator: Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to see the bigger picture and define a long-term product strategy while also being able to execute on tactical, short-term goals.

  • Problem Solver: Highly skilled at breaking down complex problems, identifying key issues, and driving towards a solution.
