My name is Shannon, and I am a Recruiter with The Fountain Group.  We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a ­­­­­­­­Digital Ad Operations Specialist for a prominent client of ours.  This position is located in ­­Santa Clara, CA - hybrid. Details for the position are as follows:

Job Description:

Duration: 1 year

Pay: $55.56/hr.

We are seeking a Digital Ad Operations Specialist to support the execution, optimization, and technical management of paid digital media campaigns. This role will be responsible for ensuring the successful launch and ongoing performance of high-impact advertising campaigns across ad servers, DSPs, and paid social platforms.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented digital advertising professional with hands-on experience in Google Campaign Manager 360 (CM360), programmatic platforms, campaign trafficking, ad quality assurance, audience targeting, and performance reporting. This individual will manage multiple workstreams, troubleshoot technical issues, and partner with campaign strategists and internal teams to drive customer acquisition and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Execution & Ad Operations

  • Own the end-to-end execution of digital advertising campaigns, including campaign setup, trafficking, launch, monitoring, and optimization.
  • Build and manage campaigns, ad sets, placements, creatives, and tracking configurations across key advertising platforms.
  • Manage campaign budgets, pacing, and performance against established KPIs.
  • Support audience targeting integrations and manage audience segments across programmatic and paid social platforms.
  • Ensure accurate campaign implementation through standardized processes, naming conventions, and trafficking best practices.

Ad Platform Management

  • Utilize Google Campaign Manager 360 (CM360) to build campaigns, manage creatives, configure tracking, and generate performance reporting.
  • Execute and optimize campaigns across DSP platforms including Display & Video 360 (DV360) and The Trade Desk (TTD).
  • Manage campaign execution across paid social platforms including Meta (Facebook/Instagram), LinkedIn, and Reddit.
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to support campaign launches, platform integrations, and issue resolution.

Technical QA & Troubleshooting

  • Perform quality assurance testing for digital creative assets, including static, rich media, video, and third-party ad tags.
  • Validate ad functionality across web, mobile, and app environments to ensure proper delivery and tracking.
  • Troubleshoot complex ad-serving, tracking, and reporting issues across ad servers, DSPs, publishers, and analytics platforms.
  • Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between CM360, DSP reporting, and publisher data.
  • Apply knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, VAST/VPAID, and digital advertising standards to resolve technical challenges.

Performance Optimization & Reporting

  • Monitor campaign performance, delivery, and pacing to ensure campaigns meet goals and remain within budget.
  • Analyze campaign data and provide insights to improve targeting, performance, and efficiency.
  • Develop reports and dashboards using Excel, Google Sheets, and advertising platform reporting tools.
  • Partner with campaign strategists to support media planning decisions based on historical performance data.
  • Identify opportunities to improve campaign processes, scalability, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–6+ years of experience in Ad Operations, Digital Media Operations, Programmatic Advertising, or Ad Technology roles.
  • Hands-on expertise with Google Campaign Manager 360 (CM360).
  • Experience managing campaigns within DSPs such as Display & Video 360 (DV360) and The Trade Desk (TTD).
  • Experience with paid social advertising platforms including Meta, LinkedIn, and Reddit.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising workflows, campaign trafficking, tracking, and optimization.
  • Experience troubleshooting ad delivery, tracking, and reporting discrepancies.
  • Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, rich media formats, VAST/VPAID, and third-party ad tags.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using Excel and Google Sheets for reporting and data analysis.
  • Understanding of digital privacy regulations, including GDPR and CCPA.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple campaigns in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with audience management and ABM platforms such as LiveRamp, Bombora, Demandbase, or similar audience vendors.
  • Experience supporting B2B marketing, technology, SaaS, or cybersecurity organizations.
  • Familiarity with audience segmentation, intent data, and account-based marketing strategies.
  • Experience partnering with media agencies, publishers, and advertising technology vendors.
