Digital Advisor - SMS Analyst

Location: Chino, CA

Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid Onsite 2 days/week; Wednesdays and Tuesdays OR Thursdays

  • Pay Rate: $44.07 $47.64 / Hour (USD)

Job Summary

The role will support the implementation of safety projects and tasks related to the Company's Safety Management System (SMS) in Edison Safety. The SMS ensures our safety efforts are working together and provides a repeatable framework that relies on Worker and Leader Engagement to proactively identify and communicate safety risks, implement mitigation strategies, and continually improve the SMS. Responsibilities will include tasks in the areas of SMS Risk Management, SMS Management of Change (MoC), SMS Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), and Human Organizational Performance (HOP).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of safety projects and tasks related to the Company's Safety Management System (SMS) in Edison Safety
  • Support SMS activities across Risk Management, Management of Change (MoC), Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), and Human & Organizational Performance (HOP)
  • Support peers with SMS implementation, tracking, presenting, and analyzing complex information
  • Analyze data in risk, MoC, and QA/QC applications (e.g., Excel, Enablon, and Power BI)
  • Partner with engineering, project managers, field safety advisors, and frontline workers
  • Assist with change management tasks (communication, training coordination, validation)
  • Apply adjustments or improvements to processes based on risk, MoC, and QA/QC efforts
  • Escalate issues to Management and recommend process improvements
  • Conduct gap assessments
  • Perform risk management and mitigation
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables
  • Identify hazards, implement controls, and generate reports

Required Skills

  • Proficient in managing complex projects concurrently
  • Capable of leading teams to follow processes and execute deliverables
  • Experience in using PowerPoint, Excel, and basic tools, such as Pivot tables/charts
  • Experience with excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong project coordination and ability to manage multiple deliverables
  • Ability to guide teams through processes
  • Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables/charts)
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Comfort working with diverse stakeholders
  • Proficient in MS Excel; basic understanding of Power BI

Preferred Skills

  • Experience communicating with senior leaders and executives
  • Experience with Safety Management Systems
  • Experience working with an electric utility
  • Utility industry experience (preferred, not required)
  • Exposure to change management / OCM
  • Safety professional with managerial or coordinator experience in Utility, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Aerospace, or Maritime sectors
  • Experience with Management of Change (MoC), risk programs, and QA/QC processes
  • Any OCM knowledge would be great
