About the Role

We design and implement effective digital advertising campaigns for our clients, from local electoral campaigns and legislative persuasion campaigns to multi-state advocacy campaigns. The digital associate will support a digital director in designing digital campaigns for our clients and helping execute them at every step of the process, from developing a plan, to placing and managing the ads, and delivering the final report at the end of the campaign.

Although this job will center on our digital advertising work, we believe in a team approach that makes the most of everyone's capabilities. That means in addition to digital advertising, you will also have the opportunity to support digital communications work, including:

• Developing and managing websites for electoral and advocacy campaigns, as well as nonprofit organizations and local governments
• Creating and managing social media profiles across platforms like Meta, Bluesky, and Instagram
• Collaborating on organic digital advocacy campaigns, from strategic development to content creation and execution

About You

You have had some experience in digital advertising and are excited to dive deeper into that skill for politically oriented clients. You are excited about the digital space and interested in finding innovative ways to use it to communicate with voters and the general public. You have a very strong attention to detail and understand the high stakes involved in digital ad purchasing. You know that timelines and deadlines matter a lot, as well as doing things right the first time. You appreciate the fast-changing, dynamic nature of both politics and the digital space and enjoy adapting to meet the moment. And you want to build a long-term career in this, ultimately growing to lead the management of digital campaigns.

Job Responsibilities

• Support in developing digital media plans and budgets
• Support the purchase of ad placements and management of digital campaigns
• Support daily ad performance monitoring and optimization for best results
• Help coordinate with outside vendors
• Help compile metrics and complete reports on ad performance

Needed Qualifications and Skills

• Prior experience with digital advertising on Meta, Google, and other online ad platforms, including campaign setup and design, setting benchmark KPIs, working with targeting recommendations, and reporting
• Experience with client management and strong professional skills
• Strong attention to detail and writing skills
• Prior experience and proficiency in Google Sheets and database management.
• Proficiency in tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Asana, Canva, Quorum, EveryAction, or other online advocacy tools

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Experience with website development on Squarespace and WordPress
• Experience with social media management, digital community management, and content development
• Experience with graphic design, photography, or videography
• Familiarity with Oregon and its political landscape

Compensation & Benefits

• $60,000- $70,000, based on experience
• We work remotely; Episodic travel for client meetings will be required
