POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the implementation, support, and optimization of the bank’s digital banking, treasury management, and deposit operations functions. This role ensures efficient, compliant, and secure delivery of both commercial digital/treasury services and core deposit operations, while maintaining a high level of customer service and operational excellence. Works closely with commercial banking teams, compliance, risk management, IT, vendors, and internal staff to support commercial clients, ensure regulatory compliance, improve operational processes, and mitigate risk. The position balances hands-on execution with senior-level problem-solving, process improvement, and leadership responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Digital Banking & Treasury Management
· Implement and onboard digital banking and treasury management services, including online and mobile banking, ACH origination, wire transfers, remote deposit capture, positive pay, fraud prevention tools, and related services.
· Partner with Market Leaders, commercial lenders, and Deposit Origination Officers to assess client needs and recommend tailored digital and treasury solutions.
· Assist commercial clients during onboarding and throughout the client lifecycle by providing training, ongoing support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
· Coordinate digital banking and treasury management services by monitoring performance, adoption trends, compliance, and risk metrics; recommend and implement enhancements to improve efficiency, security, and user experience.
· Collaborate closely with IT, compliance, risk, and third-party providers to resolve technical issues and implement best practices.
Deposit Operations Management
· Ensure accurate and timely processing of deposit transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, account adjustments, ACH, wire transfers, checks, direct deposits, and statement generation.
· Oversee maintenance of deposit accounts, including savings, checking, and CDs
· Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly reconciliations of deposit accounts, general ledger accounts, and third-party accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies or exceptions.
· Address and resolve complex account-related issues, customer disputes, and escalated operational matters.
Compliance, Risk & Fraud Management
· Ensure deposit operations comply with all applicable regulations and requirements, including BSA/AML, Regulation E, and other relevant banking laws.
· Monitor accounts for suspicious activity and collaborate with risk management teams to prevent fraud and unauthorized access.
· Investigate and resolve debit card fraud cases in compliance with Regulation E.
· Assist with audits, examinations, and regulatory reviews; maintain proper documentation.
· Perform records research and respond to legal requests such as levies, subpoenas, and garnishments.
Process Improvement & Technology
· Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of digital banking, treasury, and deposit-related processes.
· Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual processes and enhance workflows.
· Participate in or lead projects related to deposit products, digital banking platforms, system upgrades, or migrations.
Customer Service & Internal Support
· Serve as a senior escalation point for employees and departments regarding complex deposit or digital banking issues.
· Support branch staff and customer service teams by providing guidance on policies, procedures, and systems.
· Ensure customer concerns are handled professionally, accurately, and in a timely manner to maintain high customer satisfaction.
Leadership, Reporting & Analysis
· Lead, mentor, and train junior deposit operations staff to ensure accuracy, compliance, and strong performance.
· Assist the Deposit Operations Manager with operational planning and strategy; step in to lead the team as needed.
· Generate and analyze reports on deposit activity, transaction volumes, performance metrics, and operational trends.
· Present insights and recommendations to management to support strategic and operational decision-making.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience. Advanced certifications a plus.
· 5+ years of experience in digital banking, treasury management, deposit operations, or commercial banking support (community bank experience strongly preferred).
· Hands-on experience implementing and supporting commercial online banking and treasury platforms.
· Strong familiarity with commercial deposit account structures, lending relationships, and treasury workflows.
