Position Overview

The Metals Division is seeking a highly motivated Digital Category Manager to formalize and execute a division specific digital strategy to improve ecommerce growth by managing product content, digital assets and online portfolios across omni-channel retailers. The ideal candidate will develop a deep understanding of the Metals product line to maximize digital sales throughout the digital marketplace. This role will require cross functional interactions with multiple divisions and departments throughout the company.

Key Responsibilities

Merchandising Strategy

  • Work on and align eCommerce strategies in collaboration with the division, sales, marketing, planning, merchandising, and technology teams.
  • Investigate and execute digital product strategies across eCommerce channels to enhance product discoverability, improve SEO and drive sales.
  • Analyze effectiveness of digital campaigns to gauge success and/or to identify areas for improvement.

Product Presentation & Content Management

  • Upload, edit, and manage product listings, descriptions, images, and pricing to maintain accurate and up-to-date product pages.
  • Consistently review product assortments, ensure timely set up for newness and add updated information as available to existing items

Inventory Management

  • Monitor product availability, discontinuations, and stock levels to prevent out-of-stock situations or overstocking.
  • Strive for SKU efficiency, improved margins and increased market share

Marketing

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and execute targeted campaigns and social media strategies aimed at driving sales and building brands.
  • Engage with influencers and content creators.

Performance Reporting

  • Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) for division leadership.
  • Analyze top competitive products to identify opportunities to gain market share.
  • Provide actionable insights for continuous improvement by analyzing product ratings and reviews and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Take initiative to resolve issues and suggest creative, innovative and efficient solutions to achieve eCommerce objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • 2-5 years in digital category management or related area
  • Experience and strong understanding of the online retail industry
  • Experience with SAP and/or PDS
  • Knowledge of gross margin calculation and its requirements in the category of business
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, attention to detail and prioritizing tasks.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
