JOB DESCRIPTION: The Office of Marketing and Communications at Newberry College invites applications for a full-time Digital Content and Web Analytics Manager. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, this position is responsible for the day-to-day management, optimization, and governance of the College website and related digital properties.

This role focuses on content management, user experience, website governance, analytics oversight, and digital performance reporting. The Digital Content and Web Analytics Manager serves as a strategic partner to campus departments by ensuring web content is accurate, accessible, engaging, and aligned with institutional brand and enrollment goals.

The position will lead ongoing website content operations, oversee Google Analytics 4 (GA4) implementation and reporting, monitor website performance metrics, and support continuous improvements to the College's digital experience. This individual will also support long-term website enhancement initiatives and collaborate closely with marketing, admissions, advancement, athletics, and academic departments to improve digital engagement and conversion pathways.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage and maintain website content within the College's content management system, including page updates, content creation, navigation management, and quality assurance.
  • Serve as the primary administrator for website governance, ensuring content accuracy, consistency, accessibility, and brand alignment across all digital properties.
  • Support the College's full website redesign initiative through page development, testing, and optimization.
  • Lead ongoing oversight and management of Google Analytics 4 (GA4), including event tracking, conversions, dashboards, reporting, and user behavior analysis.
  • Monitor website performance metrics and provide regular reporting on engagement, traffic trends, conversion performance, and content effectiveness.
  • Partner with campus stakeholders to optimize landing pages, calls-to-action, and user journeys that support enrollment, advancement, and student engagement goals.
  • Develop data-informed recommendations to improve website usability, navigation, content strategy, and digital performance.
  • Coordinate and conduct regular website content audits to identify outdated information, broken links, accessibility concerns, and SEO opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications staff to implement SEO best practices, metadata optimization, and search visibility improvements.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, and related digital reporting tools.
  • Assist with website enhancement projects, page template updates, and ongoing improvements to the institution's digital experience.
  • Monitor website accessibility standards and support compliance with ADA and WCAG best practices.
  • Provide training and guidance to campus content contributors related to web content standards, SEO practices, and CMS usage.
  • Stay current on higher education digital trends, analytics best practices, content strategy, and emerging web technologies.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Marketing.

EDUCATIONAL OR OTHER HIRING REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media, web management, information systems, or a related field required.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Two to five years of experience in website content management, digital marketing, web analytics, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience managing website content within a content management system, preferably in higher education.
  • Experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, and digital reporting tools.
  • Strong understanding of website analytics, conversion tracking, and user behavior analysis.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices, website accessibility standards, and UX/UI principles.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS preferred.
  • Experience with WordPress, SiteImprove, Slate, or higher education web platforms preferred.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across departments.
  • Ability to interpret analytics data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
