Job Summary

Support the governance, maintenance, and continuous improvement of assigned university department websites. Provide training and direct support to departmental content managers and editors within the content management system (CMS). Conduct annual website refresh, optimization, and audit projects to ensure compliance with university web standards, accessibility requirements, and digital best practices. Manage content updates for a limited portfolio of university websites. Develop functional expertise in one designated web-related application in addition to the CMS (e.g., myBYUH portal, online map, forms, or related web platform).
 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary web liaison for 12–15 assigned department websites

  • Train and support departmental content managers and editors on CMS usage, web standards, accessibility, and content best practices

  • Conduct structured annual website audits, content refresh initiatives, and improvement projects

  • Implement content updates and structural revisions for assigned websites

  • Monitor site health, usability, and compliance with institutional web governance policies

  • Identify opportunities for content optimization, user experience improvements, and workflow efficiencies

  • Manage website content directly for a limited number of departments

  • Develop subject-matter proficiency in one designated web application beyond the primary CMS and provide support related to that system

  • Document processes, recommendations, and project outcomes

  • Perform other duties as assigned
