Position Summary:
The Digital Content Specialist reports to the Director of Communications and leads the development and execution of Port Tampa Bay's digital communications strategy. This position is responsible for creating engaging social media content, managing digital platforms, and fostering audience engagement to advance the Port's brand and strategic priorities. The role translates complex maritime, economic, and operational information into clear, compelling digital storytelling and supports broader communications efforts through website content, digital campaigns, and media-related materials. The Digital Content Specialist helps ensure consistent, timely, and effective messaging across all digital channels.

Minimum Training & Experience Requirements
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or a related field from an accredited college or university. Three or more years of experience performing duties directly related to the position. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. Photography, videography, and content editing skills are preferred.
Special Requirements
Incumbent must possess a current and valid Florida Motor Vehicle Operator's License or capable of obtaining one within thirty days from the date of hire. Must successfully pass a seaport security background check and compliance for a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
Work Environment:
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel:
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Salary Description
Salary Range: $50,318.13 - $99,126.72
