Digital Experience & Endpoint Systems Engineer for a contract opportunity in New York City.
Salary/Hourly Rate: Up to $50/hr
Position Overview: This Digital Experience & Endpoint Systems Engineer role combines advanced endpoint troubleshooting with hands-on systems administration and engineering responsibilities. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Windows and macOS environments, endpoint management, Microsoft infrastructure, and digital employee experience monitoring. The position requires hands-on experience with Nexthink and/or ControlUp, along with experience performing systems administration or engineering tasks beyond traditional desktop support. The Digital Experience & Endpoint Systems Engineer will be responsible for investigating complex technical issues, identifying root causes, improving endpoint performance, and implementing long-term solutions across the organization's technology environment.
Responsibilities of the Digital Experience & Endpoint Systems Engineer:- Provide advanced Level 3 technical troubleshooting across Windows and macOS environments.
- Investigate complex hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement long-term solutions to recurring problems.
- Utilize Nexthink and/or ControlUp to monitor endpoint health, investigate performance issues, and improve user experience.
- Administer and manage endpoint environments using Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, Jamf, or similar technologies.
- Support Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Active Directory, and related infrastructure.
- Configure and maintain device policies, application deployments, patching, and provisioning processes.
- Perform systems administration and engineering tasks, including configuration management, troubleshooting, and infrastructure improvements.
- Assist with endpoint security, compliance, device management, and lifecycle administration.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts or automation to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and Service Desk teams to resolve escalated issues.
- Identify recurring technical issues and recommend proactive improvements to system reliability and performance.
Required Experience/Skills for the Digital Experience & Endpoint Systems Engineer:- 7+ years of IT support, endpoint engineering, or systems administration experience.
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting experience across Windows and macOS environments.
- Hands-on experience with Nexthink and/or ControlUp is required.
- Previous systems administration or systems engineering experience, including junior-level responsibilities.
- Strong experience with endpoint management tools such as Intune, SCCM/MECM, or Jamf.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, and Active Directory.
- Strong understanding of endpoint deployment, patch management, provisioning, and configuration.
- Experience performing advanced root-cause analysis across hardware, software, and backend systems.
- Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
- Ability to troubleshoot independently and collaborate with cross-functional Technical teams.
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Digital Experience & Endpoint Systems Engineer:- Previous experience as a Systems Administrator, Systems Engineer, Endpoint Engineer, or EUC Engineer.
- Experience with Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, or cloud-based desktop environments.
- Familiarity with endpoint security tools, device compliance, and vulnerability remediation.
- Experience with Microsoft Autopilot, Apple Business Manager, or NinjaOne.
- Experience supporting large enterprise environments with high ticket volumes.
- Experience developing scripts to automate endpoint management and troubleshooting.
- Experience identifying performance trends and improving overall device fleet health.
Education Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
