Your Role
As a Digital Experience Project Director, you will serve as a strategic partner to the Studio Director and Global Account Director, with primary responsibility for shepherding the end-to-end digital experience design process across ongoing engagements and flagship initiatives for key accounts. This role blends client leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on delivery oversight, ensuring that digital experience work is aligned with client business objectives while maintaining excellence in execution.
What You Will Do
Client Leadership & Partnership
- Act as a day-to-day senior partner to major client stakeholders, building trust and deepening relationships across business and functional teams
- Partner closely with the Global Account Director to shape account strategy and identify growth opportunities within digital experience
- Develop a deep understanding of the client's business model, industry, and strategic priorities to provide proactive, informed guidance
- Translate client needs into actionable scope
Digital Experience Design Leadership
- Lead and orchestrate the digital experience design process, from discovery through delivery, across multiple engagements
- Ensure consistency, quality, and strategic alignment across flagship projects and broader program work
- Serve as a steward of digital experience best practices, guiding teams on methodology, tools, and outputs
- Collaborate closely with design teams, consultant teams, and vendors to ensure integrated delivery
Project & Delivery Oversight
- Alongside a design manager, oversee the delivery of projects of projects, ensuring timelines, scope, and quality standards are met
- Partner with project management and technical leads to manage risks, dependencies, and resources
- Provide hands-on guidance to design teams, ensuring work is both innovative and grounded in client objectives
- Step in where needed to help structure workstreams, facilitate workshops, or drive key decisions
Your Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen
- Execution-focused leader who can bridge vision and delivery
- Deep client empathy and relationship-building skills
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity across teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with comfort engaging senior client leaders
The base salary range will be estimated between $150,000 to $190,000. Gensler's total compensation package is multi-layered and includes a base salary, two annual bonuses paid in December and June.
