The Digital Records Specialist is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of digital records, from creation and storage to retrieval and disposal. You will work closely with various departments to implement best practices, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize digital recordkeeping systems. Your expertise will help safeguard critical information and streamline workflows across the organization.ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain digital records in accordance with organizational policies and legal requirements.Develop, implement, and update digital records management procedures and standards.Coordinate with IT and other departments to ensure proper storage, backup, and security of digital records.Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of digital records.Assist in the classification, indexing, and retrieval of digital documents to facilitate efficient access.Provide training and support to staff on records management best practices and tools.Monitor changes in regulations and industry standards related to digital records and recommend necessary adjustments.Collaborate on projects involving digitization, migration, and preservation of records.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Information Management, Library Science, Records Management, or a related field.Proven experience in digital records or information management, preferably within a corporate or government environment.Strong knowledge of records management principles, digital archiving, and data privacy regulations.Familiarity with electronic document management systems (EDMS) and digital asset management tools.Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.Strong communication skills to effectively train and guide team members.Certifications such as Certified Records Manager (CRM) or Information Governance Professional (IGP) are a plus.
