A recognized institution in New York City is actively seeking a new Digital Rights & Materials Coordinator for a promising opportunity with their growing team. In this role, the Digital Rights & Materials Coordinator will oversee licensing films, moving image and other media material for use on the institution's digital applications, and will collaborate with teams across the museum in preparing files for public consumption.
About the Opportunity:
Setting: Hybrid (at least 4 days a week onsite)
Responsibilities:
Locate and contact rights holders for permission to screen work on the institution's streaming service
Create and execute exhibition contracts for each title, working with the institution's general counsel's office as needed
Liaise with various departments across the museum to locate collection materials for the institution's streaming service
Work with external sources to obtain screening material for the institution's streaming service
Work closely with the content editorial team on building collections for the streaming service
Work with the digital product team on feature set to best represent the content inside the streaming service
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in a Streaming and/or related environment
Bachelor's Degree
Knowledge of historical and contemporary film culture
Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace
Excellent relational management, written and interpersonal communication and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment, independently manage multiple projects at once, and meet deadlines on time
Desired Qualifications
Experience with customer management systems, Salesforce
