Digital Services Management (BMC Helix) Contractor

We are currently looking for a remote Digital Services Management Contractor to build a Helix CMDB from scratch. This will be a 9 month-1 year contract.

JOB SUMMARY:
The purpose of this position is to build a Helix CMDB from scratch (design through implementation) and we are looking to start this project as soon as possible.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Recent BMC Helix CMDB implementation experience, Helix 22.x, 23.x, or newer.
• Hands-on CMDB design/build experience from scratch or near-scratch.
• CMDB class modeling, CI attributes, relationships, lifecycle/status model, and Product Catalog usage.
• Normalization, reconciliation, identification rules, precedence, survivorship, duplicate handling, and data quality controls.
• Design and integration of authoritative data feeds from infrastructure, security, network, monitoring, cloud, asset, virtualization, discovery, or configuration platforms.
• Source-of-truth strategy, data ownership, mapping, transformation, validation, exception handling, and ongoing feed governance.
• CMDB reporting and dashboards for coverage gaps, stale data, duplicates, reconciliation exceptions, completeness, accuracy, and operational handoff.
• Ability to document design decisions, runbooks, support model, and data governance processes.

• Experience integrating data from tools comparable to Tenable, CrowdStrike, SCCM, Satellite, ServiceNow SAM, Aruba, Fortinet, or location/reference data sources.
• Experience with Helix SaaS or modern Helix containerized/on-prem deployment models.
• Experience with ETL/API-based ingestion, staging models, canonical data models, and operational dashboards.

• Legacy Remedy/AR System administration only.
• General Helix ITSM administration without CMDB architecture/build ownership.
• Incident, Change, SRM, DWP, Smart IT, or workflow configuration without CMDB feed/reconciliation experience.
• Vague statements such as "worked with CMDB” or "administered Helix” without clear implementation evidence.
