The Digital Specialist has editorial and administrative oversight of the Alumni Association's digital presence, and is responsible for creating, leading, and measuring the effectiveness of the Alumni Association's digital properties and campaigns. These properties include its social media channels; its primary website, my.nd.edu, and other sites; and other digital-engagement focused initiatives as assigned.
As a key member of the marketing team, you will be responsible for creating, leading, and measuring the overall effectiveness of the Alumni Association's digital properties and engagement-focused campaigns. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and campus partners to expand our reach and deepen connections with alumni, parents, and friends worldwide.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Platform Management
Content Creation & Publishing: Manage the daily creation, curation, and publication of high-quality content across all primary Association social media accounts to drive engagement.
Campaign Innovation: Design and launch creative digital campaigns aimed at expanding the Association's global reach.
Internal Consultation: Serve as the strategic social media advisor for internal partner teams, including Spirituality, Service, Alumni Education, Career and Professional, and Clubs, Classes, and Groups.
Digital Analytics & Performance Reporting
Data Tracking: Monitor and analyze performance metrics across all digital platforms.
Reporting: Compile and distribute monthly leaderboard reports for the marketing team, alongside comprehensive quarterly reports for executive leadership review.
Data-Driven Strategy: Use digital insights and behavioral data to establish KPIs, guide future marketing decisions, and provide actionable recommendations to improve audience reach.
Website & Mobile App Content Curation
Content Moderation: Curate, write, and update alumni-focused content for the ND Mobile App and the primary Association website (my.nd.edu).
Strategic Promotion: Ensure prominent exposure for Association services, storytelling initiatives, and high-priority University news.
Cross-Campus Collaboration: Partner with campus and Association stakeholders to routinely implement digital updates.
Workflow, Trends, and Media Support
Manages the shared digital publication calendar and builds standardized communication systems to ensure cross-organizational collaboration.
This role stays ahead of emerging digital trends and algorithm shifts to share best practices with internal teams, while also providing hands-on multimedia support by capturing and curating photography and videography at key events.
