About Technical Operations
n
BioMarinxe2x80x99s Technical Operations group is responsible for creating our drugs for use in clinical trials and for scaling production of those drugs for the commercial market. These engineers, technicians, scientists and support staff build and maintain BioMarinxe2x80x99s cutting-edge manufacturing processes and sites, provide quality assurance and quality control to ensure we meet regulatory standards, and procure the needed goods and services to support manufacturing and coordinating the worldwide movement of our drugs to patients.

Global Sourcing and Procurement
The Global Sourcing and Procurement (GSP) organization is accountable for driving and delivering Procurement value to support stakeholdersxe2x80x99 and organizational strategic objectives.xc2xa0xc2xa0 The GSP function delivers value to BioMarin by leading transformation change and implementing industry leading category strategies that directly support the corporate strategy.xc2xa0 The GSP organization leverages market intelligence, subject matter expertise and business insights in the procurement of good and services and management of BioMarinxe2x80x99s growing third party spend of $1B+. The Information Technology and Professional Services Category Manager is an individual contributor role supporting the Information Technology and Professional Services organization enterprise-wide. This role reports to the Associate Director xe2x80x93 Information Technology and Professional Services Leader, who reports to the Sr. Director, Global Enterprise Services Sourcing.xc2xa0

The Category Manager is responsible for executing best-in-class procurement strategies, working with and supporting category leaders, fostering strong and broad relationships with stakeholders, and promoting innovation and ongoing process improvement in operational practices. xc2xa0

The role will work with other category managers to ensure alignment on related services or overlapping suppliers supporting other categories, such as Software, etc. focusing on developing and executing category strategies in Information Technology and Professional Services & Data, the Category Manager will only provide direct support for the Services and Professional Services categories within these areas.

The salary range for this position is: $108,800 to $149,600. BioMarin considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
