We are seeking a Digital Analyst in the Detroit metro area to support a healthcare technology team responsible for complex, data-driven digital solutions. This role will focus on system testing, data validation, business rule interpretation, issue analysis, and cross-functional collaboration across business, IT, and vendor teams.
The ideal candidate is a strong analytical thinker who can understand business requirements, evaluate system results, identify discrepancies and patterns, and communicate findings clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Review business and system requirements and develop/execute testing scenarios.
- Perform functional, negative, regression, and operational testing.
- Validate system behavior against defined business rules and expected results.
- Analyze data and test results to identify discrepancies, trends, and patterns.
- Document testing results, defects, issues, and recommendations.
- Participate in issue triage and assist with root-cause analysis and resolution.
- Work closely with business, IT, QA, product, and vendor teams.
- Communicate testing results and issues in meetings and presentations.
- Identify questions, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support audit, compliance, and operational activities.
- Work independently while managing assigned testing and analysis activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with system/application testing and validation.
- Experience interpreting business requirements and applying business logic to system results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience documenting and reporting testing results and defects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical teams.
- Ability to identify patterns, trends, discrepancies, and potential system issues.
- Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare or health insurance industry experience.
- Experience with healthcare claims, benefits, pricing, member cost-share, provider information, or healthcare data.
- Experience with SQL and database/data validation.
- Understanding of APIs, system integrations, data flows, or interfaces.
- Experience with healthcare cost or pricing-related systems.
- Medical billing and coding knowledge, including familiarity with CPT, HCPCS, or ICD codes.
- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar defect/test management tools.
- Experience working with vendors and cross-functional technology teams.
