Join our team as a Digitization Operations Team Lead (GEOINT Imagery) at CASE Management Consulting!

Location: Washington, D.C.

Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI clearance required (or active TS with the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph)

The Digitization Operations Team Lead will oversee daily digitization operations supporting the conversion, management, retrieval, and long-term storage of historical imagery. This position serves as the primary interface between contractor personnel and government stakeholders while ensuring operational excellence, quality control, workflow efficiency, and system reliability across digitization activities.

 

Your Impactful Duties:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between contractor personnel and government stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical issues related to digitization equipment and software, providing troubleshooting assistance and coordinating repairs as necessary.
  • Coordinate daily digitization activities, including work assignments, quality control processes, and performance monitoring.
  • Assist with workforce scheduling, time-off requests, backup coverage, and onboarding/offboarding activities in coordination with the Government COR.
  • Oversee scanning equipment operations, ensuring optimal performance and preventive maintenance.
  • Monitor production metrics and provide weekly status reports and operational updates to the Government Project Manager.
  • Lead quality control efforts, including review and validation of digitized products to ensure established standards are met.
  • Conduct training activities related to library operations, scanning processes, and data management functions.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable health and safety requirements while handling film and operating digitization equipment.
  • Evaluate workflows and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to identify opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Analyze the end-to-end digitization process to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for increased productivity.
  • Research, develop, and recommend technical enhancements, including automated metadata tagging, scripting solutions, file conversion efficiencies, and machine learning-assisted quality control capabilities.
  • Develop implementation plans for approved process improvements and oversee integration into operational workflows and standard operating procedures.

Knowledge of:

  • Experience with:

    • Leading digitization, scanning, archival, records management, or similar technical operations.
    • Data visualization tools used for quality control and operational analysis.
    • GEOINT file conversion utilities, including Scan2Spec, Scan2NITF, Archive Manager, GDAL, or similar technologies.
    • Windows operating systems administration, including scanning hardware configurations, software maintenance, updates, and security patches.
    • Microsoft Office applications for reporting, documentation, and administrative functions.
    • Enterprise communication and collaboration platforms, including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype, and Cisco Jabber.
    • Cloud storage platforms and services, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud, and IBM Cloud.
    • Enterprise tape storage systems, including Oracle StorageTek and Hewlett Packard Enterprise solutions.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance or active TS clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph.
  • Prior leadership experience within a digitization, scanning, archival, records management, or similar operational environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate personnel, workloads, and operational priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Ability to follow established technical, operational, and security procedures.
