JOB SUMMARY The DIHP Warehouse position is a temporary seasonal position that is primarily mobile in nature. A DIHP Warehouse staff member is responsible for F&B-related product distribution across the Desert International Horse Park, as well as loading and unloading food service areas and moving equipment around property as needed. DIHP Warehouse also assists with inventory and cleaning /cleanup of food and beverage service areas. Work shifts will take place at the Desert International Horse Park. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS Chef de Cuisine, General Manager, Owner ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & DUTIES - Works as part of the warehouse team to distribute food and beverage and non-perishable items to and from service points on property
- Works as part of the warehouse team to load and unload trucks and stations and other relevant service areas with food and beverage service items
- Works as part of the warehouse team to move equipment around the property of the Desert International Horse Park
- Assist in receiving product orders and inventory, keeping records of what was shipped, delivered, and proper record-keeping of said items
- Organizing product, inventory, and work areas
- Works as part of the warehouse team to clean areas we work in. This includes, but is not limited to: kitchen, walk-ins, VIP area, food stations, pop-up event areas, retail space
- Drive golf carts and kubotas safely to transport items around the property
- Drive van and/ or truck to transport, load, pick up and deliver food and beverage service related items
- Run errands to pick up rentals or purchases, such as equipment for the Desert International Horse Park.
- To engage in safe working practices as mandated by the state and Contemporary Catering
- To engage in procedures to promote health, cleanliness and food hygiene as mandated by the state and Contemporary Catering
- To report any problems to the Chef de Cuisine or Upper management
- To carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job as assigned by Chef de cuisine and/or General Manager
OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES - May be asked to assist in moving equipment and items between our DIHP location and our LA location
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Chef de Cuisine and/or General Manager; to carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job as assigned
