Dimensional Inspector

Job Title: Dimensional Inspector
Location: Orrville, Ohio
Type: Contract
Compensation: $25-$28/hr.
Contractor Work Model: Onsite

Position Overview:
As a Dimensional Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring products meet exact specifications and quality standards. You will utilize precision hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges to perform detailed measurements and verify geometric tolerances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct precise dimensional inspections using tools like micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other measuring instruments.
• Interpret complex blueprints, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) specifications, and engineering drawings to ensure accurate measurements.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed inspection records.
• Identify and communicate deviations from specifications and collaborate with production teams to address issues promptly.
• Follow safety protocols and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to quality inspection procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in dimensional inspection and measurement techniques.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and gauge blocks.
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, and geometric tolerances.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation accurately.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
