Dimensional Metrology Quality Inspector
A day in this role
From first article through in-process checks to final release, you are the gatekeeper of quality for machined parts, assemblies, and incoming materials. You’ll scrutinize details others miss, ensuring every feature aligns with company and customer specifications.
What you’ll do
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of parts and assemblies.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications with confidence.
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify features and tolerances.
- Complete inspection reports, including first article (AS9102), in‑process, and final inspections.
- Identify and document non‑conforming materials and initiate appropriate actions.
- Inspect incoming materials and maintain accurate, auditable quality records.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (overtime as needed)
What you bring
- 2–5 years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Experience using standard inspection tools.
- Strong attention to detail and basic computer skills.
Preferred
- CMM experience (PC‑DMIS).
- Pump, valve, or rotating equipment manufacturing experience.
