Dimensional Quality Inspection Specialist
A day in the life
You start your shift by reviewing the queue of incoming parts. With a sharp eye and steady hands, you verify supplier materials against drawings—visually first, then dimensionally—accepting only what meets spec and arranging prompt returns for anything that doesn’t. On the floor, you move cell to cell conducting roaming audits and first-piece checks, advising operators on adjustments to keep processes in control. Before the day wraps, you sign off finished lots, document results in detailed logs, and make sure every gage you touched is calibrated and ready for the next run.
