The Dining Room Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring a pleasant dining experience for guests in the hospitality industry. This position involves maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area, setting tables, and assisting guests with their needs. The primary goal is to create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages guests to enjoy their meals and return for future visits. Additionally, the Dining Room Attendant will collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure timely service and address any guest concerns.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a dining or hospitality setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with point-of-sale systems.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with clearing tables, refilling waters, serving bread and restocking clean plates, silverware and glassware
• Set up dining room for each shift
• Support servers by supplying beverages, condiments and tableware when requested
• Report guest requests or concerns to servers and managers
• Keep tables, chairs, benches and floors clean
• Perform additional responsibilities, although not as detailed, as requested by manager at any time

Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, which are essential for interacting with guests and ensuring their needs are met.
• Attention to detail is crucial when setting up tables and serving food, as it directly impacts the dining experience.
• Time management skills are also important, as the Dining Room Attendant must efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy service periods.

Benefits:

• Paid time off, 1 hour per every 40 hours worked up to year 3; 1.54 hours per every 40 hours worked thereafter; eligible after 90 days.

• Holiday Pay: Easter, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day paid 1.5 times base wage if worked, based on eligibility.

Restaurant hours of operation are 6am-11pm, Sun - Thurs; 6am-1am, Fri/Sat. Open 7 days per week, including all holidays.
