Why work with ESS Support Services? We are a member of Compass Group Canada, the leading foodservice and support services company. We work with clients in the oil and gas, mining, construction, coastal logging, military and defense sectors. Coverage is as diverse as offshore oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, to coastal logging camps in B.C., to construction camps in the Alberta Oil Sands. Facilities are located within drill camps, mining camps, construction camps, pipeline camps, oil and gas installations and correctional facilities.

As a Dining Room Supervisor you will be responsible for supporting and overseeing our daily operations. Directing and working with the staff in a wide range of tasks such as cleaning, food preparation, serving meals, and dishwashing.

  • All staff perform housekeeping duties such as maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas.

  • All staff assist with food preparation, set up and cleanup of chairs & tables, serving meals, pot washing, dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen.

  • All staff perform duties according to health & safety guidelines, report all injuries and hazards to the supervisor immediately and other reasonable requests from management.

About you:

  • You must have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent

  • Previous experience in customer service setting is an asset

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

  • Good command of English language, both verbal and written and ability to follow written and verbal instructions

  • At least 3 yrs experience or more in a large-scale dining facility

  • Able to direct staff

  • Criminal Record Check

  • Must be able to lift and carry 20 lbs or more

Position Requirements:

  • Shifts: 8.5 hrs/Day
  • Rotation: 5 Days on/ 2 Days off
  • Pass a Drug & Alcohol Test
  • Pass a Criminal Record Check
  • Season End Date: August 20

The hourly wage for this position is $22.00. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation. Further details regarding our total rewards offerings will be shared by the Talent Acquisition team during the hiring process. Canadian work experience is not a requirement for this role.
