The Esther at the Park, located in Beaverton, OR, is seeking a friendly, organized, and hospitality‑driven Dining Room Supervisor to support our front‑of‑house dining team and help provide an extraordinary dining experience for the residents in our community.

Responsibilities of the Dining Room Supervisor

  • Front‑of‑house leadership — Oversee daily dining room operations for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, ensuring meals are served efficiently, accurately, and with exceptional hospitality.
  • Staff training & scheduling — Train, mentor, supervise servers and dietary aides; manage schedules and budgeted hours.
  • Resident relations — Greet residents, manage seating flow, and learn individual preferences and dietary needs to ensure a personalized dining experience.
  • Service quality & problem resolution — Address resident or family feedback promptly and professionally.
  • POS & meal tracking — Ensure accurate tallies of resident meals, guest meals, and specialty orders using dining room systems.
  • Sanitation & compliance — Maintain exceptional cleanliness and organization in the dining room and service areas, following all local and state health regulations.
  • Team collaboration — Work closely with the Culinary Director and kitchen team to ensure seamless communication between back‑of‑house and front‑of‑house operations.

Required Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of supervisory experience in a restaurant, banquet, hospitality, or senior living dining setting.
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn senior living dietary modifications (e.g., No Added Salt, No Concentrated Sweets).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact warmly and professionally with residents, families, and staff.
  • Strong organizational skills, patience, and a collaborative, team‑focused approach.
  • Current Food Handler’s Card, or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
