About the role
- Student employees work in all areas of Dining Services, including Monson Dining Center, Royal Grounds, 3900 Grill and catering. Job duties range from cashier to dish washer and many other jobs in between. Students employees generally choose their own schedule by selecting the shifts to sign up for and then keeping that schedule for the whole semester. This allows students maximum flexibility on when and how much they want to work while creating a consistent schedule each week. Catering shifts vary depending on the schedule of events.

- Must be a current student at Bethel University
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in a controlled, temperate environment; however, may be exposed to heat/cold during support of outside activities. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Significant walking or other means of mobility.
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours). •
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds.
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.

Expected Hours of Work:
Students will work between 2 and 20 hours a week, dependent on the shifts they sign up for. Student Employees may not work over 20 hours a week during the school year.
