Position Summary:

Baptist Health is looking for a Director, Clinical Design and Data Integration to oversee the Alabama region.  The Director of Clinical Learning, with direction of the Senior Director, is responsible for leading, developing, and managing the clinical education programs within the system. They will work closely with stakeholders including team members, educators, and leaders to ensure programs and courses are aligned with organizational goals and evidence-based practice. They will foster an environment of continuous learnings and ensure that resources are effectively utilized to enhance the competency and performance of clinical staff. They will utilize the ANPD Scope and Standards of Practice and will align with all clinical disciplines.

Responsibilities:
  • Develops and maintains foundational structure of clinical committees, councils, and meetings, including but not limited to charters, policies, and key performance indicators.
  • Develops structures within clinical governance to proactively trend and improve quality and efficiency metrics.
  • Develops and implements performance improvement plans to enhance the efficiency and quality of clinical services.
  • Implements and spreads best practice initiatives and processes across the system.
  • Gathers, collates, and analyzes data related to clinical operations, outcomes, and performance metrics.
  • Effectively communicates trends in data, literature, and industry standards to senior and executive leaders.
  • Ensures alignment and prioritization of key performance metrics with organizational goals.
  • Summarizes evidenced-based literature and research findings to support decision-making by the clinical team.
  • Identifies and evaluates industry standards and best practices for clinical practice and operations.
  • Conducts side-by-side comparisons of equipment, supplies, and technology to inform procurement decisions by clinical team.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to analyze data and identifies areas for improvement in clinical processes.
  • Provides regular reports and updates on performance metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Stays informed about advancements in clinical practices, technology, and regulations to ensure compliance and optimization of operations.
  • Creates structure around communication and training to the nursing and patient care team.
  • Maintains knowledge of healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Education/Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in healthcare operations, quality improvement, or a related field

Experience

  • Three (3) years’ progressively responsible experience in clinical care delivery system, project management, and process improvement with demonstrable results.
