Position summary
Assistant Professor to teach, advise, supervise field experience and direct student projects.
Expertise in teaching math, and/or science is desired. Position may require teaching in any /or all semesters including summers. Person chosen for this position is expected to be involved in research as well as teaching and supervision of undergraduate and graduate student teachers. A wide variety of responsibilities are expected including accreditation and assessment as required by the university and outside accrediting bodies. Teaching areas are flexible as department needs dictate.

Duties and responsibilities
Supervisory responsibilities
Supervise Student Teachers
Supervise both undergraduate and graduate projects.
Supervise education club and other department gatherings.
Qualifications
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
Technical competencies
Strong computer skills, including: word processing; spreadsheets; email; Google Workspace; and communication tools such as Zoom and Teams.
Interpersonal interactions
Must relate well to administration, colleagues, staff, students, and community
Must relate well to outside entities, including personnel Seventh-day Adventist institutions, local schools and school districts, State, and regional agencies and organizations.
Physical demands
Must be able to:
Walk up and down stairs.
Travel to distant meetings.
Drive to local appointments
Work environment
Work environment is a university office environment and K12 schools.
Offices are in the downstairs area of Bell Hall.
Travel is sometimes required in snowy, icy conditions.
