Position Overview
Blessings Fundamental Day Service (ISS – Individualized Skills & Socialization) is seeking compassionate, dependable Direct Care Staff to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a structured day program setting.
This role focuses on helping participants build life skills, social skills, and independence in a safe, engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and supervision to participants
- Assist with daily living and life skills training
- Facilitate group and individual activities
- Support social interaction and community engagement
- Maintain a clean, safe, and structured environment
- Complete required documentation and daily notes
- Follow all agency policies, including transportation and safety procedures
Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- Daytime hours (ISS closes at 3:30 PM)
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to follow policies and documentation requirements
Requirements
- Must have a High School Diploma, GED, OR pass an equivalent competency test
- Valid Driver’s License (preferred for transportation duties)
- Ability to pass background check and OIG screening
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must complete required training and orientation
