Position Overview
Blessings Fundamental Day Service (ISS – Individualized Skills & Socialization) is seeking compassionate, dependable Direct Care Staff to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a structured day program setting.
This role focuses on helping participants build life skills, social skills, and independence in a safe, engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct care and supervision to participants
Assist with daily living and life skills training
Facilitate group and individual activities
Support social interaction and community engagement
Maintain a clean, safe, and structured environment
Complete required documentation and daily notes
Follow all agency policies, including transportation and safety procedures
Schedule
Monday – Friday
Daytime hours (ISS closes at 3:30 PM)
Qualifications
Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
Compassionate, patient, and reliable
Strong communication skills
Ability to follow policies and documentation requirements
Requirements
Must have a High School Diploma, GED, OR pass an equivalent competency test
Valid Driver’s License (preferred for transportation duties)
Ability to pass background check and OIG screening
CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Must complete required training and orientation
