Direct Care Professional

Gateway Behavioral Health Services is seeking Direct Care Professionals to join our team for our newly approved Supervised Living Homes. Direct Care Professionals are members of a multidisciplinary treatment team responsible for providing daily support, supervision, and assistance to individuals receiving mental health services in a residential setting. This position focuses on promoting independence, safety, and stability while supporting clients in their daily living activities.

Positions Available: Full-Time 
Shifts Available: 8 or 16-hour shifts available
Schedule: Varying shifts available

Responsibilities & Duties

• Provide direct supervision and support to residents in a supervised living environment
• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including meal preparation, hygiene reminders, and household responsibilities
• Support residents in following individual service plans and program expectations
• Monitor client behavior, safety, and well-being
• Assist clients with community outings, appointments, and transportation as needed
• Encourage skill-building, independence, and appropriate social interactions
• Maintain a professional attitude and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, families, and staff from diverse cultural and social backgrounds

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License
• Experience in mental health, direct care, or residential services (preferred)
• Ability to work extended shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• A willingness to continue education and training to enhance skills relevant to the position
• Ability to pass required background clearances & screenings
